Most people who use the Sony A7s, A7R, or other Sonys in the same group have sooner or later got annoyed that the recordings stops after 30 minutes of continuous recording. A smart guy has created a app that overrides this problem. I installed the app and tested this on my Sony A7r II for shooting an insect hatch. The camera was recording 4k files for 5 days with a 256GB SDX card that was swapped and formatted every 5.5 hours. No problems. Nor with overheating. The Jungle Book DVD is now finished. Near two hours show filmed over 3 evenings and edited for DVD.
A fantastic show from Kodal Ungdomslag. This is the third year I have filmed their shows, and they don’t stop to surprise.

Glad to be a part of James Ewans latest production, Oslos ville hjerte, (The Wild Hart of Oslo) A fantastic film about wildlife in the city. I delivered the drone footage for that production.
In Kari Toft series on NRK Ut i naturen, you can see some rare underwater shots of the endangered Big Brown trout from Hunderfossen in Norway. This was recorded in 2015, and made the news in the main channel, NRK.
In Kari Tofts series on NRK Ut i naturen, about ‘Play’ is a 4 minute edited short about the Atlantic wild salmon. This is the last job I made with my friend Gunnar O Nilsen, who suddenly passed away. R.I.P
Some video from my recordings can be shown on the series Wild Europe on National Geographic Wild. The footage is from wild atlantic salmon spawning in Norwegian rivers, from winter landscape and raindeer in Svalbard, and aerials from norwegian landscape.
Had a perfect trip to the Norwegian mountains. Calm winds, lovely temperature and varied skies made the drone footage stand out. Good to know the landscape, so the destinations can be timed to the sun or shadows.
After some beautiful days in the Norwegian mountains, I returned home with some amazing underwater recordings of grayling, spawning in crystal clear water. This fantastic and funny relative of the Atlantic salmon has its own way of doing things. Enjoyable time spent by the river.
